ABOUT US
PartNerds was born out of necessity in 2019 by Glendon Parker, founder of ZE Motion, and Alex Swaynie, founder of Ross Snow Tech. Throughout their start-up journeys, Glendon and Alex felt there was a serious gap in the product development process at the local level. For them, finding reliable, local, and cost effective solutions for prototyping proved to be a daunting and expensive challenge forcing them to look inward for solutions. Since founding PartNerds, they have created and designed hundreds of one-off or low-volume parts for their own businesses as well as for companies in the outdoor, medical, and consumer product industries. From engineering to production, PartNerds has the capabilities, knowledge, and experience to create the prototype and parts your company needs.

Alex is a graduate of Colorado Mesa University with over 15 years of sales experience in sporting goods, commercial and industrial buildings materials. In 2017, Alex started Ross Snow Tech and began developing the Convert, the world’s first snowboard binding that transforms into a snowshoe. The Convert aims to help snowboarders access back and side country terrain safely and efficiently. Throughout the development of the Convert, Alex struggled to find reliable, local, and fairly priced partners for prototyping, forcing him to acquire new skills to reach his goals. Alex utilizes cast urethane injection molding, CNC milling, and various 3D printing processes to create his complex prototypes. His Convert prototypes earned Ross Snow Tech the “Best In Show” award from gearjunkie.com at the 2019 Outdoor Retailer + Snowshow and brought international attention to the RST brand before the product even hit the shelves. His attention to detail and firsthand start-up experience will add a valuable and unique perspective to any project.
Alex is a Colorado native who spends as much time as he can fishing, shooting archery, riding motorcycles, and, of course, snowboarding.
Glendon earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Material Science Engineering from the University of Florida. After working for several years for a government defense contractor, he moved to Colorado and worked in the aerospace industry as a system engineer and a project engineer, primarily in manufacturing. Since then, he has spent several years in start-ups, designing and building consumer products. This includes his own startup, ZE Motion, and their commercial grade, all-electric zero-turn mower. Throughout his experience with startups, Glendon was unable to find reliable parts providers that could offer quick turn-around times and reasonable prices to companies that are always struggling to minimize cost. Glendon has both design and analytical skills in his toolbox and can assist with the hard core engineering work. He actually loves to run analysis simulations!
Glendon is originally from Florida and has lived in Colorado since 2005. He moved to be able to enjoy the active outdoor lifestyle and the change of seasons. He also enjoys motorsports, motorcycles, and classic cars.
